Vintage cigar labels are transferred to polymer clay
and hand-formed into beads. The beads are strung
together with copper and sterling spacers and a
copper toggle clasp. My original cigar label necklace
appeared in Lapidary Journal (October 2004).
A postage stamp is transferred to clay and then
hand-formed into a cabochon, seed beads are
hand-woven around the cabochon and strung
with seed beads and pearls. Featured in Best
Artists and Artisans of North Carolina
(Second Place Jewelry), published by Kennedy
Promotions.
Vintage circus labels are transferred to polymer clay
and hand-formed into beads. The Trapeze Artist
Pendant is inspired by one of the Vintage, French
circus labels and was a collaboration between North
Carolina Artist Catherine Thornton (click on
Catherine's name to go to her website and see her
fabulous work) and myself. The beads and pendant
are woven and twined together with crystals, pearls
and a copper filigree ring to complete this
one-of-a-kind piece.

together with crystals, freshwater pearls and
a vintage marcasite clasp to form this
five-strand necklace.
